GIGAJET 50 is a femtosecond oscillator designed for the highest commercially available repetition rate of 5 GHz. More than 550 mW are obtained at pulse dura­tions below 30 fs. Octave-spanning frequency comb generation has been demonstrated with nonlinear optical fibers.
The housing is fully enclosed and entirely temper­ature-stabilized. Passive repetition rate stability of 500 Hz has been demonstrated for cooling water stable to 0.1°C. Installation and training in customer’s lab are provided. Protected by U.S. patent 6,618,423 and European patents.
